🥳 Interview with the founder...

Interview with founder Cezary 🏆

Tell us a little bit about your background and how you became a founder?

My name is Cezary Tomczyk. The journey with computers started when I was 10. Since that time my curiosity, creativity and passion kept growing. I've spent the last 20 years working with web technologies.

I have seen a revolution and a technological evolution. This opened up a huge number of challenges that needed solutions. One of my ideas was later patented by Microsoft.

For the past 5 years, I have been helping build solutions that identify problems with today's web applications. I noticed that everyone was auditing their web software the same way - crawling on the server side. This, however, has its limitations - it doesn’t reflect the real user environment and it doesn't help you build better products.

So, why not revert the process and perform web app audits on the client side? That’s how I started SiteLint.

How did you come up with the idea?

SiteLint was born to solve particular problems that we were facing as web developers. How to embed wholistic audits inside an app, one that could even audit single page applications successfully? It's a bit like Google analytics for multiple areas like Accessibility, SEO, Performance, Security, Privacy and Technical issues.

How did you get your first 10 users?

Through personal connections.

What was the biggest challenge you faced while building SiteLint and how did you solve it?

We faced many technical and marketing challenges. In fact we still haven't quite figured out marketing yet. Our biggest technical challenge was figuring out how to manage inbound requests efficiently in a queue.

What is your go to tech stack and why?

We use: Angular framework for the frontend. NodeJS, MongoDB, Nginx on the server side. They give us great support and are highly scaleable.

Would you consider selling SiteLint in the future?

Everything's possible.
